How long have you been in business?
RAC has been serving business all over the country since 2005
What are your hours of operation?
We are open Mon- Fri 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
Do you service all of New Jersey?
We service not only all of New Jersey but multiple businesses throughout the United States.
Do you work weekends and holidays?
The office is closed on weekends and holidays. We will work if we are facing a deadline or an emergency, or on special occasions when our clients absolutely need us to.
Do you accept credit cards?
We accept all credit cards including, AMEX, MasterCard, Visa, & Discover
Do you provide Free Consultations?
We offer a 1 hour free consultation to help you asses if our services fit your needs as well as a brief analysis of your current marketing & business growth strategies.
Will you travel to my location if necessary?
Yes, we accommodate our clients’ needs and cater to their time schedules.
Can you provide references?
Our family of clients are very happy to share their experience with potential new customers.

VIRTUAL RECEPTIONIST FAQ

What is a virtual receptionist?
A Virtual receptionist works as an extension of your business. They are your clients first impression. We can schedule for you and do anything a traditional receptionist can do at a fraction of the cost.
How many receptionists will answer my calls?
Each clients has a receptionist assigned to them who will be their point of contact. If your receptionist is on another call someone else will fill in. Even though you will have an “assigned” point of contact, we work as a team to fulfill your needs.
Is it possible to keep my phone number?
Absolutely! You will keep your business number.
What different ways can I have my messages sent to me?
We send messages in real time and we can send via email or text. Also at the end of the day you will be emailed a daily call report.
If I have more than one business can they share an account?
If they are answers with the same greeting. Yes. We have many clients with unique needs and requests. Most of the time, we are able to find a solution that fits perfectly to accomplish the objective.
Where are your receptionists located?
All of our receptionist work out of our Toms River, New Jersey office. We use no remote phone banks or call centers. Every service is performed in-house and is an employee of RAC.
Is it possible to transfer a live call to me? How does that work?
Yes we are able to patch calls. If you have a caller that you need to speak to you, your receptionist will call you and let you know directly. If you decide it is a call you want you are immediately connected. If it isn’t a call you want, we will take a message for you and send you the details.
What happens if I’m unavailable to take calls?
We will take a message and send the message to you in the exact way you want.
Is there a long term contract? Can I go month to month?
No, we don’t require any long term agreements. You are never locked into a contract. In fact, you are never “locked” into anything. We are don’t need long term contracts because we are confident that once you use our services, you will be happy to let us service you and simplify your business work load.
If I don’t have a phone number can you provide one for me?
We can provide you with a regular phone number or an 800 number. If you end our relationship that number can be ported to another carrier.
How would you know if I’m available to take calls?
We ask the client to notify us if they are available or not. Everything is under your control.
Is it possible to answer my calls only when I am not available or on break?
Yes. you can use our service whenever you want. We make it simple for you to let us know when or not you are available.

Payroll FAQ

Is it possible to pay my employees at a flat rate salary instead of a regular and overtime hours?
Yes you can. We only advise that you make sure your employee qualifies to be exempt.
Do you offer direct deposit?
Yes. We do offer direct deposit at no additional cost.
How do I determine to pay my workers as an employee or a subcontractor?
Every state has different regulations. Your payroll coordinator will assist you in determining this. Will you hold the appropriate taxes from payroll checks? Yes. We can hold the taxes and pay them when they are do.
What is the difference between bi-weekly and semi-monthly payroll?
Bi-weekly payroll is every other week, and 2 months a year there will be 3 pay dates. Bi-monthly payroll is usually 2 specific dates of the month and there will always be only 2 pays.
Does payroll services have to be notified of an employee’s death?
Yes, it would be helpful to know so we know to not continue payroll and get the correct tax information to their estates.
If an employee is overpaid, what should I do?
Mistakes happen. We can assist you in making the correction on the next payroll as well as notify the employee of the error.
How do your price your payroll services?
We charge a monthly rate based on how many employees and how often you pay. Our rates are very competitive
Do payroll checks need to be signed?
Yes, and we have software to make sure every check is signed. Everything we do here are RAC is focused on saving you time and money.
Is payroll tax deductible?
Yes payroll tax is an expense. Write it off!

Bookkeeping FAQ

What questions should I ask when hiring a bookkeeper?
When hiring a bookkeeper I think the most important questions to ask are:

  • Does the bookkeeper know your software?
  • Do they have experience with your type of business?
  • Are they insured and bonded?
  • Remember this person is going to have a lot of personal information and you want to make sure you are protecting them.
What if I want to do the bookkeeping myself?
We offer training and set up to get you correctly on your way. RAC is here to help you do tasks you want, not tasks that we want. In other words, you are in control. If we can save you time or money, we will let you know, but you are always the boss.
What’s included in your bookkeeping services?
We offer every aspects of bookkeeping and clients can pick and choose how much or how little they need. When we have our initial consultation, we will go over all our services in detail and you can select what works best for you.
How much does bookkeeping cost?
We charge an hourly or monthly rate. Again, whatever works best for you.
What kind of reports do I get? How often?
We provide you full financials on a monthly basis or upon request. Whatever works best for you. (This is a re-occurring theme!)
If my records are a mess can your company organize them?
Organization of business records is our specialty. But, we don’t stop there. We will not only straighten things out and help you get on track, but we will make sure it never becomes a mess again!
